Jiyoung Ahn, PhD
Principle Investigator
I have a research interest in the genetic and microbiomic epidemiology of cancer and cardiovascular disease. Studies that I am currently working on include somatic genome-wide gene expression profiles and prostate cancer survival; human gut and oral microbiome in relation to risk of cancer and cardiovascular disease; dietary factors, their related genetic and microbiomic pathways, and risk of cancers. I enjoy making pottery and spending time with two spoiled cats.
see my NYU faculty page for details.

Stephanie Segers, MPH
Data analyst
I have studied biostatistics, epidemiology, and public health. I manage databases and lead data analyses, and the papers I am working on concern oral bacteria, cancers, and cardiovascular disease. I am also a certified teacher of the Alexander Technique, a movement and breathing re-education technique, in which people learn to become aware of their habitual patterns in daily activities and how to make constructive changes in their lives.
